6. Leverage, Margin & Liquidation

You can trade with leverage up to 500x, allowing you to amplify your potential with maximum margin. All leveraged trading includes built-in smart risk controls.
Liquidation triggers at 70% MTM (mark-to-market) loss intraday. Once losses exceed 70%, your account can be liquidated at any point. The position with the highest loss is squared off first.
100% holding margin is required to carry positions overnight. If sufficient margin is not available, the position will be auto-liquidated.
5Trade provides Negative Balance Protection with a step-out level of 30%. Any negative balance beyond this threshold is waived off, so you cannot lose more than your available capital.
Always hold positions only up to the available margin in your account, and maintain adequate margin buffer. Insufficient margin can result in partial or full liquidation.

7. Order Execution & Trading Rules

All orders — Market, Stop-Loss and Limit — as well as liquidations execute on live BID-ASK prices. Chart highs and lows are not used for execution.
Limit, Stop-Loss and Take-Profit orders execute on the bid-ask, not the LTP shown on the chart. As a result, orders may fill above the chart high, below the chart low, or may not fill even when the chart shows your trigger price.
Profits booked within 2 minutes of entry are considered jobbing/scalping and may be removed. We encourage clients to follow standard trading practices.
No. Trading via VPN is strictly prohibited. Any trades placed while using a VPN will be deleted from your account.
Group trading is permitted only with prior written permission from 5Trade. Unauthorized group activity may result in trade removal or account action.
Cross orders and same-IP multi-ID trading are strictly prohibited. Any profitable trades from such activity may be removed without prior notice.
No. Chamka, lines, and insider trades are not acceptable on the platform and will be reversed or removed.
Stock positions eligible for dividends or bonuses must be squared off one day before the ex-date. If you do not close them, they will be auto-closed by the system.
Accounts that exclusively engage in option selling will be terminated after total payout, in line with our risk management policy.
Any disputes related to liquidation or auto square-off must be raised with Support within 15 minutes of the event. Queries raised after this window cannot be entertained.
During software issues, only existing open positions will be closed — new positions that could not be opened will not be processed. If you spot a glitch, report it immediately with your ID and we will square off your position at CMP on receipt of the message.
